When God yelled at me...

We hear from God is mysterious ways. Everyone hears it differently. Sometimes we may not even know that it is, in fact, God talking to us. I am going to tell y'all a little story now. This is really on my heart right now, because this story happened very recently.

I’ve been reading a lot of blog posts, fiction books, the Word, and even non-fiction books a lot recently. They have been helping me in my faith so much. I really love Melody Carlson, Jenny B. Jones, and Judy Baer. Recently, I was reading a book out of a series that I absolutely adore! I just love keeping up with all the characters and imagining what I would do if I was in their situations. Now, I usually don’t end up in the same situations as these fictional characters do, but this time, it was different. I finished the book, and the next day, I experienced a very similar event as the book did. I don’t believe in coincidences, I believe that God has perfectly placed out events in our life, so this struck me straight in the heart. I knew God was testing me.

This kind of testing was not bad, this was good testing. He was telling me that I’ve prepared and done research for this, and now, it's my time to show Him what I can do. It’s kind of scary to think that I may mess up, but then all I can do is pray about it. We cast our cares off to God. Whatever is weighing down on you, look to God and pray that He will resolve it.

So, when this was happening, it felt like God was yelling at me, but not like He was mad. He was just pushing me so hard, so I could see what He was doing. It actually made me laugh at how awesome God is. How much He has made our world perfect. He allowed me to show Him in the situation. I feel like God is always yelling at us in some way. You are probably thinking about a current situation that God is calling you to do. It’s really something that you can not look over, because when God puts something on your heart, it's hard to stop thinking about it. If He wanted you to forget about it, then you would. There is a reason that He is loud. So, when God yells at you, take it as a push. God is pushing you to show Him. I will be following up on this blog post with another one about how to even know if it is God speaking to you. Let me know what you thought about this. I would love to hear your opinions on this topic! :))
